ASSURANCE & BUSINESS
ADVISORY SERVICES
Often annual or periodic financial reports are necessary to satisfy
banking, bonding, governmental, regulatory or operating agreement requirements.
We have developed the most efficient means of gathering and analyzing
the data to provide the required financial information at the best price
value to your company. Often the financial statements require analysis
to assist you in making critical decisions.
Our people are trained to perform services with a business point of
view. That is, we work to analyze the numbers and identify issues that
affect the profitability or financial stability of the entity. We not
only provide assurance on the "lagging indicators", we analyze
the "leading indicators" to determine how we expect the company
to perform in the future. Let us show you how you can get the most for
the dollars spent for these services.

Audit
An audit of an organization's financial statements is designed
to obtain reasonable assurance whether the financial statements are
free from material misstatement. We perform detailed testing and analysis
of the organization's financial records to make that determination.
The product the organization receives is an opinion from J & A Associates,
LLP stating the financial statements are fairly presented in all material
respects. An audit is usually requested by regulatory agencies, outside
investors or creditors such as a bank.

Review
A review of financial statements is less in scope than an audit.
No detail account or transaction testing is performed. Rather, we perform
analytical procedures and ask management questions regarding the outcome
of our analysis. The product of this service is a review report. The
review report indicates that we are not aware of any material changes
that need to be made to the financial statements in order for them to
be fairly presented.

Compilation
A compilation of financial statements involves assembling client
financial records to present the company's financial statements. The
financial statements can be full disclosure (i.e., footnotes attached)
or omitted disclosure (i.e., no footnotes). The accountant performs
no account testing or analytical review. The product of this service
is a compilation report. The report indicates that we have not audited
or reviewed the financial statements and, therefore, do not express
any kind of assurance on them.

Compliance Audits
Compliance audits provide assurance as to an organization's
compliance with a set of rules or regulations. Our report provides an
opinion as to the organization's compliance with those specific rules.

Agreed Upon Procedures
As the name implies, agreed upon procedures are engagements
where an agreement is made between the accountant and the client as
to the procedures the accountant is to perform on the client's financial
or non-financial records. The purpose is to determine if certain balance
sheet accounts are properly stated on the financial statements or something
is happening or being done as expected. For example, the client may
ask that we review 50 invoices to see if the appropriate person is approving
them for payment. After completion of the engagement, we issue a report
indicate the work we performed and our findings.

Prospective Financial Statements
Ordinarily financial statements are historical in nature -
they reflect what has already happened. Prospective financial statements
attempt to predict what will happen in the future, given a fixed set
of assumptions. We typically assist clients in preparing these financial
statements for a bank or other credit agency.

Accounting System Design & Review
Clients engage us to review the policies and procedures used
by their accounting department to see if they are efficient and involve
effective internal controls. Additionally, we may be asked to design
an accounting system for a client.
top
Accounting Standards Analysis
Occasionally, new accounting standards adopted by the accounting
profession require an organization to capture new or different information
about itself to comply with the standard. We assist the client in determining
the required information and the process for gathering the data.
top
Profitability Analysis
We have developed a program designed to review your company's
business risks, information systems and profit indicators. We will give
you a written report of our findings and recommendations for necessary
changes.
top
Management Consulting
We will work with you on any business issue you have to find
the best answer to your questions and concerns. If we do not have the
ability to provide the solution, we will put you in touch with
the people who do.

Business Plans & Projections
We can help you with developing and documenting your business
plan and the related financial projections for internal planning, raising
capital and as part of the loan application process.
