The firm manages a range of services all having a common disciplined of high-quality accounting and strong value advise.

The firm was founded by Carlton L. Spicer, Willie Garner and Vonda Adams who wanted to give back to their community the dedication and leadership and service that they had giving the corporate world. In 1999, the firm began its current service to its clients. Under the leadership of Willie Garner, the consulting services department has become one of the industry's leaders in getting results for its clients. The team that has been assembled not only has talent but also great wisdom for listening to the needs of the client. With over 15 years of experience as a successful credit and collections manager, Mr. Garner, as senior partner, has assembled a team of experienced and talented collection professionals.

Carlton L. Spicer
Managing Partner of J & A Associates, LLP and a member of the Board of Directors. He began his career in the early 1980s as a Corporate Accounting Manager with Avnet, Inc. Before forming J & A Associates, LLP, Mr. Spicer was a Controller of Fred Finch Youth Center, Inc. where he managed daily operations, private accounts, grants reporting and agency capital. Mr. Spicer is the President and former Chairman of the Touch of Spice, Inc. He earned a B.S. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
